Things to Do - Boating

The boat launch area within the park features a three bay ramp, ample boat and trailer parking, fish cleaning station and boat rental facility.

For the convenience of boaters using West Boggs Lake, rental docks and mooring posts are available. Rental of these units includes annual boating permit. Winter season boat storage is also available. Contact the park office for availability.

During hours of operation (May 15 through Sept 15, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays) boat rental services include rental of pontoon and fishing boats and a lakefront gas dock. At times when boat rental attendant is not on duty, arrangements for long-term boat rental may be made at the customer service area located at the park entrance.

Boating at Martin State Forest
Fishing boats with trolling motors are allowed in Martin State Forest.

Martin State Forest is located 20 miles southwest of Bedford, Indiana, or 4 miles east of Shoals, Indiana on U.S. Highway 50.
