Day trips or overnight on the White River is a favorite past time for Indiana University students to spend summer days.

Scout Troops, families and friends looking for a beautiful outing spot will be rewarded by the scenic opportunities the White River provides.

Home to wild life, including a nesting American Bald Eagle and nature at it’s best, the trip offers the opportunity relax and see the county at a leisure pace.

If you plan to finish your trip at Hindostan Falls you can enjoy the natural rock plateau that extends across the White River bed for picnicking, lying in the sun and soaking up the rays.

Of course if it is a work out you are after…you can do that too.

Check with Jim and Jane at Marshall’s for a river report and nature updates. If you need canoes, kayaks or transportation to and from your preferred site Marshall’s can help you out.
